I finally finished my novel! Here's the cover design I settled on. Thoughts?

After 18 months of writing and another 3 weeks of screaming at design software, I finally have something I'm not embarrassed to show! 😅🎉 The book is a literary fiction piece set in 1920s Paris, so I wanted something elegant but not stuffy.

I landed on this muted gold background with a simple Eiffel Tower silhouette fading into the distance. The title is in Playfair Display with those dramatic thin hairlines and thick contrasts—it just screams "vintage luxury" without being impossible to read as a thumbnail. ✨

But here's where I need honest opinions: the author name. I set it in Montserrat underneath because I worried Playfair for everything would look like a wedding invitation. But now I'm second-guessing. Does mixing a serif title with a sans-serif name look cohesive, or does it feel like two different books fighting each other? 🤔

The blurb font inside is Crimson Pro—super readable, free, and plays nice with the cover's vibe.

Would you pick this up from a bookstore shelf? Or does the font clash ruin it? Be brutally honest—I can still change things before the upload goes live!
