Okay, FINALLY a chance to talk about actual WORDS instead of just the letters they're made of 😂 Don't get me wrong, I could discuss kerning until my eyes glaze over, but sometimes you just need a good book recommendation!

I'm currently knee-deep in "Piranesi" by Susanna Clarke and honestly? It's like nothing I've ever read before. The narrator lives in a infinite house with statues and tides and literally thinks the world consists of fifteen people (most of whom are dead). It's somehow both the coziest and most unsettling thing ever? Like reading a dream you're not sure is a nightmare. 😴➡️😰

The VOICE, though—that's what's killing me as a writer. The main character is so innocent and observant and keeps detailed journals about "the kindness of birds" and it makes you fall in love with him immediately. Then slowly you realize something is VERY wrong and you just want to protect him from... everything.

What's on YOUR nightstand?

I'm desperate for recs because my TBR pile is somehow both overwhelming AND unsatisfying. You know that feeling? 40+ books you "should" read and nothing you're excited to read?

Also—do you read in your genre or escape completely?

I write thrillers so everyone says I should read thrillers to "study the market" but honestly? When I'm done writing twisted murder plots, the LAST thing I want is MORE twisted murder plots. Give me cozy fantasy or literary fiction where nothing happens except beautiful sentences. 🌿

Spill the tea! What book has you staying up too late on a work night? What made you fall in love with reading again? What's overrated and what's underrated?

Let's talk actual STORIES for once! 📚✨💕
